Scott Elbert - Founder

Southwest Nationals is owned and operated by former Big League pitcher Scott Elbert. Scott is originally from a small Midwest town in Missouri named Seneca. He was drafted out of high school in the first round of the 2004 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers at #17 overall.    Scott created the Southwest Nationals with intent to give young baseball players the opportunities that he had in his youth to put him on college recruiters and professional scouts.  He believes in “If you want it bad enough, you have to go get it!”     

James McDonald

James McDonald is a former Big League pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates.  James was selected in the 11th round of the 2002 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers.  He made his Major League debut September 17, 2008.  James is from Long Beach California where he attended Long Beach Polly High School and played baseball, football, and basketball.
